What is sin? So...I’m doomed? How do I make sure I have it?
Since the creation of man and woman it has been obvious that mankind has free will (ability to chose what they want to do). In the same way Adam and Eve choose to go against God’s instructions in the garden (Genesis 3:1-7), we freely make choices to do the opposite of God’s will. This is called sin (1 John 3:4)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%203:1-7;&version=49;http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1john%203:4;&version=49;shapeimage_4_link_0shapeimage_4_link_1
Everyone sins - Romans 3:23
The penalty for sin is death - Romans 6:23
Sin separates us from God - Isaiah 59:2

Absolutely NOT! John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life...” God doesn’t anyone to face eternal death BUT wants everyone to turn to Him (2 Peter 3:9). As long as today is called today, everyone has an opportunity to take advantage of eternal life.http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20peter%203:9;&version=49;shapeimage_6_link_0
But wait, how is this possible? In one word...JESUS the son of God! How do we know that? Take a look at these passages

He lived a perfect life - Hebrews 4:15
He had power over everything - Matthew 8:1-34, 9:1-8
He gave His life for us on the cross - Matthew 20:28, Philippians 2:5-11

There is only one way to make sure! Follow God’s plan for salvation completely and entirely based on His word (AKA - “The Bible”). Take no other source on the matter. The Bible discusses 4 things that are necessary for salvation.
Faith - Belief that is actively obedient
Necessary to please God - Hebrews 11:6
We must believe in Jesus Christ - Acts 16:30-33
There is more to faith than just believing (Faith=Action) - James 2:14-26
Repentance - Turning away
    Turning away - Acts 3:19
If we won’t repent, we will perish - Luke 13:3
Godly sorrow leads to it - 2 Corinthians 7:8-11
Confession - Speaking aloud one’s faith in Jesus
Necessary to confess Jesus as Lord - Romans 10:9-10
If we can’t, Jesus will not be able to acknowledge us - Matthew 10:32-33
Baptism - Immersion in water (literal translation from Greek word)
Purpose= For the forgiveness of sins - Acts 2:37-41
Parallels Christ’s death, burial and resurrection - Romans 6:3-4
    Saves us - 1 Peter 3:18-22
After, God adds you to the church - Acts 2:47

Salvation
You can read of nothing more important!  Please take a few moments to read over this material.  Salvation is a topic God has written about in His word.  This list is simply a guide to help you explore the Bible.  Please don’t take our word for anything but double & triple check everything you have ever been shown or told and make sure it matches up with what God has said!  Click on the scriptures to go to www.biblegateway.com to read the passages for yourself.
Why do I need it?
If everyone takes a look at their own life and is REAL and honest with themselves, they will see that they have made choices that are not what God approves of. These sins are deserving of death...eternal death (not the electric chair). Therefore our sins (darkness) separate us from God (light - 1 John 1:5)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1john%201:5;&version=49;shapeimage_14_link_0
